to the BR Loop Community Information Site
Welcome to BRLoop.com, the official website for information on the Baton Rouge Loop, a major road project to address traffic congestion in our region. Please refer to this site for news, meeting dates, maps and other information on the progress being made on the Baton Rouge Loop Environmental Study. Locally preferred corridors emerged late in the Implementation Plan phase, with various alternative options charted through northern Livingston and East Baton Rouge Parishes, WBR, Iberville and Ascension Parishes. This process is open to the public, and we encourage you to participate as much as possible. The Baton Rouge Loop plan is being developed under the guidance of the Parish Presidents of East Baton Rouge, and West Baton Rouge Parishes, and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and the Federal Highway Administration. Please follow this project as it moves forward and give us your feedback so the Baton Rouge Loop can be among the most successful in the country.
Capital Area Expressway Authority announces the release of the BR Loop Tier 1 Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS). The FEIS is available for review and comment. You can find a hard copy at the Ascension, E. Baton Rouge, Iberville, Livingston, & W. Baton Rouge Parish libraries. Volume 1 includes the study documentation and analyses, Volume 2 includes the document appendices, and Volume 3 contains large-scale mapping exhibits. An electronic copy of the FEIS document is available by clicking here.
